Hiroshima/Nagasaki: The Aftermath and Legacy

Event Description

Auburn Montgomery’s Office of International Affairs will present a two-day event exploring the aftermath and legacy of the nuclear bombings of two Japanese cities, Hiroshima and Nagasaki, during World War II. On Oct. 31 at 6 p.m., there will be a screening of the documentary “White Light/Black Rain: The Destruction of Hiroshima and Nagasaki,” followed by a panel discussion.

On Nov. 1 at 6 p.m., there will be a live telecast with a survivor of the Hiroshima bombing. All events are free and open to the public. For more information, call 334-244-3375.
